Alpha Antenna "SKY" VHF UHF Beam
No Duplexer is required, and only one coax needs to be run.
Only one coax and no duplexer is needed for this VHF UHF Beam that is of commercial quality. This heavy duty beam is a directional base antenna that radiates and receives greater power in specific directions. This allows performance to be increased, while also reducing interference from unwanted sources that are on the "back side of the beam". Performance is further maximized with the N-Connector that is mounted on the boom. Yet small enough to be used with an inexpensive Television Rotator.
The antenna is constructed using two 1 inch square aluminum 3 foot booms with 1/8 inch walls. The elements are constructed of .625" aluminum. The included mounting kit, which makes the total length of the antenna just over 4 feet, is an H-Beam type Stand-Off that can be installed on top of a mast or side mounted on a tower.
Commercial quality, heavy duty beam antenna suitable for directional reception and/or transmission, where coax attaches to a female N-Connector on the dual boom design. This dual boom design provides incredible strength for extreme conditions. Electrically, the dual boom design operates similarly to a ladder line, and provides a low impedance system for feeding the antenna elements. Unlike traditional multiband beams that only use a limited number of elements for any given frequency, this antenna maximizes efficiencies by enabling every element to be active. This results in higher gain than other antenna designs of the same dimensions for any one section of this system.
