Works great even when VHF UHF satellite is near the horizon.

Though I have had this antenna for a short period of time I love it. It works so well mounted on the mast next to my house that I acquire the satellite as low as 3-5 degrees above the horizon. Though this is not how the antenna was designed to work, Steve and the team at Alpha Antenna worked out solution that added a counter-poise system to lower the SWR and improve the performance. I works great now, even with the higher-than-normal SWR, and I can’t wait for good weather so I can put up the counterpoise and make it better. Alpha Antenna customer support is great.
