With four NVIS Elements installed on the vertical HF antenna from Alpha, I just worked a couple of stations on JT65 on the 160m band. So, if you want something economical and portable, this should do the job.
My call was even spotted on the hamspots.net website for digital modes by a station in Antarctica using this antenna. This, while I was trying to make a contact with another station. 50 watts, grey line and weak propagation. I would say not bad at all.
