Horizontally positioning enhances NVIS

To enhance Near Vertical Incidence Skywave, the Alpha MagLoop can be horizontally. As a result, omnidirectional performance will also increase. That is because the magnetic loop antenna radiates of off its’ sides to form a 360-degree signal pattern.

Vertical positioning enhances DX

When deploying the Alpha Loop vertically, then DX patterns are enhanced along with regaining much of the NVIS signal patterns. This configuration also lowers the amount of interaction with surrounding objects like vehicles, people, buildings, hill sides, etc. As a result, doing this lowers the amount of loss by sending more of your signal skyward instead of off the sides of the antenna.
