- Chris Maltese W4LUC contacted us and described how to lower and nearly eliminate the noise floor caused by the wired Remote Control for the Alpha Loop. - Here are some additional tips provided by Claude Jollet – VE2DPE: Ground the barrel side of the BNC Connector on the remote-control unit reduces the level of interference generated by the control unit … by 2 S units.
- Flip the power supply for the remote control over, so that the plugs might be oriented correctly for grounding. This is of course reliant on your home’s outlet being wired correctly for a ground on the two-prong outlet.
