VHF UHF HF Antennas
HF antennas include Vertical Dipole Yagi and MagLoop or magnetic loop systems. The best base, portable, and mobile solutions for transmit and receive are available from Alpha Antenna. For example, the EFHW (End-Fed Half-wave) dipole is a half-wave antenna. This system has one resonant radiating element with an electrical length of one half-wave.
Magnetic loop or MagLoops are known to be quiet for the receive side of your operations. They also serve as an effective transmission antenna because they are a tuned circuit that does not need a tuner.
If your goal is DX, then a vertical may offer an advantage over other choices. Some verticals from have a directionally enhanced signal pattern, others offer an omnidirectional signal pattern and is easy to install.
