The Alpha Loop is a tuned circuit that radiates more ERP by handling 100W PEP input on 10-40M & 20W PEP when the optional ^40/80M loop is installed. This antenna is also very quiet because it tunes off frequency signals out (much like a notch filter would) and also because it uses an inner shielded faraday pick-up loop.

More Information
How is the Alpha Loop tuned?
There is a huge tuning knob that makes adjusting the loop for an SWR below 1.9:1 very easy.
Attached to between the knob and capacitor is a 6:1 reduction drive, which increases ease of tuning even more.
To tune the antenna once it is deployed, just turn the knob while listening for the loudest noise floor in SSB mode, and then transmit at 5W in FM or CW mode while you tune and watch for the minimum SWR on your rigs built in meter.
How is the ^40-80M Cable installed for coverage of 40 to 80 meters?
Install the Booster Cable as a double loop to form an outer loop that is over 21 feet in total length, which increases skin effect thereby increasing efficiency.
How can efficiency be increased on 12-40 meters?
Increase the efficiency by over 20% on 12-40 meters at75W PEP SSB, 35W CW, or 15W Digital by only using the included longer outer loop Booster Cable in lieu of the shorter default Outer Loop.
How can the Alpha Loop handle 100 watts on 10-40M?
How did we accomplish 100W power levels on 10-40M? We perfected each component which enables the antenna system to handle 100 Watts PEP SSB on 10-40 Meters. NOTE – Maximum PEP SSB on 80M is 20W.
How is the Alpha Loop able to use 6M VHF UHF?
Our engineers designed resonance on 420-450MHz and 144-148MHz plus 50-54MHz with an add-on element.

Options
A) Optional SWR Indicator+
The SWR Indicator is a simple device for Magnetic Loop MagLoop antennas that makes tuning even easier.
WARNING! Do not exceed 10 Watts Continuous Carrier (FM, Digital, AM, etc.) while tuning or the indicator lamp will fail.
NOTE – Can be used on higher power loops only if the SWR Indicator is removed after tuning.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Install by attaching the Copper Clip to either of the PL259s at the loop’s tuning box.
- Set your rig to the desired frequency in SSB mode
- Tune loop till the loudest noise floor is heard from your rig’s speaker.
- Set rig to FM or CW mode at 5 watts.
- Transmit and tune for brightest illumination on the SWR Indicator’s LED.
B) Optional SWR Sounder~
Place the SWR Sounder near any magnetic loop antenna and listen for the loudest beep as you tune for the lowest SWR.
C) **Optional VHF/UHF/6 Meter add-on element
Optional add-on element to enable 100W Magnetic Loop Antennas to support additional VHF & UHF plus 6 Meters, 2 Meters, and 440 MHz.
- Gain on 6M = 1.6dBd, VHF = 4.5dBd, and UHF = 7.2dBd

Excellent Magloop antenna, sets up in minutes!
Nice antenna system, really enjoying the flexibility of this system.
Great antenna. Well made. Easy to deploy.
Overall I like this antenna. I bought it for a fast emcomm/POTA setup and you can easily set this up in about 5 minutes. I’m still learning on how to maximize digital transmission using this antenna.
