This a low-profile 10–80-meter OCF Vertical Dipole Base Antenna with an easy to deploy/retract tapered telescopic stainless-steel element, which is rugged yet should be retracted when not in use or winds in excess of 50 MPH are expected.
The total length of the 17′ 9″ vertical element and the 25′ 3″ horizontally sloped element equals the magic number of 43 feet that so many excellent systems use for multi-band operation from 10-80 meters. The last element is an 8-foot grounded counterpoise element, which completes the circuit by creating a static drain for noise, which make stations easier to hear.

Installation
You may install this system in 3 easy steps:
Step 1 – Either install the Match on a wood fence post/plank using four screws by removing the included 1.25” mast mount adapter, alternatively install the antenna on your 1.25″ mast.
Step 2 – Place the 25’ horizontal wire and vertical element on the top bolt of the Base Alpha Match then deploy and attach the 8’ grounded counterpoise on the bottom bolt of the Base Alpha Match. The 8’ grounded counterpoise wire should be run in the direction you would like your signal to launch. The 25’ horizontal wire should then be run in the opposite direction.
Step 4 – Push the stake on the 25’ horizontal wire and the 8’ ground wire and into the ground.
Step 5 – Screw the Vertical Element onto the top bolt on the match then fully extend it.
Step 6 – Attach your coax from your tuner to the SO-239 on the match.
* NOTE – When not in use or when winds are greater than 50MPH then the vertical element should be retracted.

Antenna exactly as described, excellent build construction. Steve responded to my inquiry promptly. I’ve bought from them in the past, they’re the best!
This antenna is a well made product and it arrived quickly.
They were great to work with I ordered a antenna from them, and I needed to get it before going to Dayton, I also had a 50.00-dollar credit to use before it expired. I sent them a E-mail told them was going on and they were able to get me the antenna a week after I order it. they put a rush on my package I did not want it sitting on my porch while I was on vacation. They are GREAT to work with
This is maybe my third Alpha Antenna — always good! This most recent one is for an experiment at the radio museum (CHRS – Alameda), an urban area with LOTS of noise. Thanks, Steve! 73 de Bart, K6VK ##
