The Alpha MEGA Loop is a 10-40 meter antenna that is rated at 200W PEP SSB.

This antenna is built around our broadband technology, which requires no tuning.

Tuning

Tuning is automatic.

Signal Pattern

The loops are placed close enough on the boom so the tuning of the first fed loop couples with second loop. Both loops are placed in the same plane so that the pattern of the first element to enable maximum exposure to the pattern of the second loop. This placement enables the signal patterns from the first element to activate the resonance across the whole surface of second element.

In other words, the elements are in the same plane for the cylindrical shape of the first element’s pattern to match the cylindrical shape of the second outer loop, which is one of the reasons the second loop to radiate efficiently.
