Use occasionally to protect metals such as mounting hardware and antenna elements after they have been thoroughly cleaned.
If you have a legacy black whip that uses a shock-cord, then you may need to use steel wool to clean the inserts before applying this compound.
If you have never cleaned the inserts, they may be too corroded to be salvageable.
