Description

This HOA Buster is an HF base antenna that defeats the rules imposed upon amateur ham radio operators by using existing metal gutters as an antenna, and enables your tuner to achieve a near perfect match from 6-160 meters.

This is a permanent outdoor system that weathers well. There’s no maximum size for the gutter that can be used, and a minimum combined length of of the gutter and downspouts should be at least 25 feet. There are no feed-line minimums/maximums. The included jumper wire can be shortened or you may replace it with any length wire that does not lay on the ground. Please make sure that your gutter, downspout, or flashing isn’t grounded or touching the ground. This system will have different readings and unpredictable results if used on structures that have a metal roof. The HOA Buster should not be used on homes with aluminum siding. This is because aluminum siding cancels out the ability for an RF wave to form on the gutter.

Includes:

– 1 Top of Mast Mount
– 1 Riser
– 1 Eight foot jumper wire with clips
– 1 Alpha Match

Specifications: 

HF base antenna coverage – 1.8MHz to 54MHz
Power – 250 PEP SSB, 125 CW, or 25 watts for digital modes

Installation and setup:

1) Place the included metal 10 inch stake into the ground,
2) Slip the included mount over the stake,
3) Screw the Alpha Match on the included mount,
4) Run the included jumper wire from the top of the Alpha Match and clip it onto your gutter,
5) Then attach your coax to the connector on the bottom of the Alpha Match and run the coax to your equipment.
