Setup and Operation

Analysis
Analysis at the antenna when properly deployed on the tripod with Vertical, NVIS, & Grounded Counterpoise elements without a tuner. An external antenna tuner can be used if the antenna system is deployed over a poor ground or not placed in a clear area.

Exerlent antenna and well built easy to deploy
It works well enough if switching bands frequently is needed. To improve the SWR on the 40 meter band, I used the 17′ adjustable whip and things improved quite a bit across all bands.
For use on the 20 meter band the POTA Performer is hard to beat but the Alpha Mil 2.0 is better if band hopping is needed.
This antenna system meets all of my desires for portable operation. It is easy to deploy. It is compact. I am able to blend it with non Alpha components for flexibility and experimentation without any problems. Most importantly I am having fun with it.
Your xompany always goes the Extra Mile in Quality, Customer Service and Selection! That’s why I have so many. Plan to add your new EmComm Mag Loop with the small legs when I can save up some extra cash.
