Installation
- Ensure there is as much metal directly under the mount & antenna as possible.
- Ensure the mount is placed as high as possible and that it connects to the metal on your vehicle.
- Don’t run the whip/element parallel to the frame of your vehicle, which is the ground.
- Attach your tuner to the mobile HF antenna with 25 feet of coax.

Works great, I was at the top of a mountain in Flagstaff, Arizona and sitting in my car. I worked Japan for 20 minute conversation on 10 m using QRP 5 watts
It is manifestly apparent that there is some tangible mojo working here. The signal conjuring is mysteriously supernatural, possibly involving magic.
I learned about Alpha Antenna before Quartzfest when I was sent gift certificates as door prizes which I handed out during afternoon raffles. After Quartzfest I decided it was time to upgrade my RV and truck antenna systems. Knowing now about Alpha, I looked in to their antennas and found the MOTO. After reading reviews I decided to give one a try. I mounted it on my truck on truck and was surprised to see i had absolutely S-0 noise level on my IC-706MkIIG. With this low nose level I was able to make contacts with St Petersburg Russia, St Lucia, Peru, Brazil and Argentina from the mobile in Arizona. This was with the MOTO and it’s 5′ whip. I run an MFJ 939 auto tuner with the antenna and am able to tune on all bands to between 1:1 and 1.4:1. I liked it so well on the truck that I ordered another for my RV fifth wheel trailer to replace my Hustler mobile antennas. I put a 7.5′ whip on the trailer antenna though and am getting amazing results using the MOTO with my IC-7600
