Radials vs Counterpoise
- The included Radials can be laid on the ground for easiest deployment and operation, or
- For even more performance, the included Counterpoise can be raised and deployed at resonant length.
- A section of PVC pipe like the one Available HERE can be used to raise the included Mounting Hardware.
- The included Metal Spike can then be Zip Tied at the base of the PVC pipe.
Tuning the Counterpoise
There are two methods for tuning the Counterpoise for resonance.
- Achieve the resonant length of the raised Counterpoise by rolling up or out the wire element, which can be secured with the included VELCO strap.
- Alternatively, spade connectors that are Available HERE can be used at the connection points after you cut the wire elements to resonant length for your POTA Performer.

I want to extend my thanks what a perfect antenna. The website made purchasing a breeze and before I knew it, it was at my door. Cannot wait to take it out on my first adventure here in a little over a week. The quality of the antenna and the mounting hardware, I believe will provide many years of use.
The overall quality of the antenna system is excellent. The telescoping antenna is very heavy duty. I was very impressed with the performance as well. My third contact QRP was from Texas to Italy on 5 watts. The only improvement I would like to see is on the carry bag. It’s a little light weight.
